Admit it, you’d love to be able to hide wall posts from friends but you really don’t want to deal with the inevitable conversation.

“Why did you un-friend me?”

You want to say, “It’s because I don’t want my facebook wall filled up with political, religious, offensive, and dramatic junk.”

But you are a good friend and put up with it.  Well, here is a way you can hide wall posts from friends and still remain friends.

1. First open Facebook.  (That part should be obvious)

2. Create a list for the friends whose wall posts you are going to hide. This allows you to easily check in on them now and then.  

3.  To do this hover your mouse over Friends (to the left of the page) and the more button should appear.  Click more.

4. You can use one of the pre-designated lists or click Create List to make your own. 

5. Give your new list a name (like “Muted”) and select which friends you would like to put in the list. 

6. Now comes the important part.  Click on the name of all the friends whose wall posts you’d like to hide (one friend at a time).  

7. You should now be looking at their timeline.  Click on Friends and then click Show In News Feed.  This will hide all their wall posts from your main feed. 

You can also click settings and specify which types of posts you want hidden.

And that is it.  Now you can hide wall posts from as many friends as you like without them knowing.  If you ever want to "un-mute" your friend just follow the same steps and re-check Show in News Feed.
