EDIT: It seems there is some confusion on the title of this post. The intent of this article is to help you filter out what shows up on YOUR news wall from certain friends. If you would like to hide posts so certain friends can’t see it you can check out this post here: http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=174851209237562
Admit it, you’d love to be able to hide wall posts from friends but you really don’t want to deal with the inevitable conversation.
“Why did you un-friend me?”
You want to say, “It’s because I don’t want my facebook wall filled up with political, religious, offensive, and dramatic junk.”
But you are a good friend and put up with it. Well, here is a way you can hide wall posts from friends and still remain friends.

Our latest two website designs are complete. We welcome www.slocourtreporting.com and www.chaplainresponse.org to the MHI Labs family.
Katherine Kaplanek’s www.slocourtreporting.com represents one of our affordable website designs. She provides court reporting and teleconferencing services on the central coast of California. Her site

Today it seems too many companies view the definition of customer service as, “whatever makes the sale for the cheapest cost”. I find this attitude to be quite unfortunate and I make it a point to limit my interaction with this kind of company. Recently, though, I had the good fortune to work with a company that not only has a good product, but is willing to make it better if it suits the customer.

Today I was talking to a potential client who had a very interesting reason for wanting a website. It seems she googled her business and found it had somehow become the proud bearer of a free online directory listing. Of course this could only mean great things, right? Upon closer inspection she found the telephone numbers and addresses listed for her business are completely wrong.
Good news...
Just finished a site for our good friend Stacy. She and her husband are the proprietors of Jaded Monkey. Located on the Central Coast of California, Jaded Monkey will be offering event lighting, party equipment rentals, and storage space for DJ's and event planners.
Color scheme was designed to fit in with the "Jaded" aspect of the name.
I am thrilled to report that Solstice Green has gone from a Google Pagerank of 2 when we took over maintenance last year to a Pagerank of 4 as of today.
Why?
Well, good optimization by using an established content management system, good content that is constantly keeping the front page fresh, good articles keeping the customers coming back for more, and good advertising both by word of mouth and through their mixers.
We can't take all the credit for this achievement (but we'll take some!)
Good job Margaret and the Solstice Green Team! Keep it up.
Well, just got back to MHI Labs headquarters in beautiful (and hot) Bakersfield. Thank you to everyone I met tonight and I hope to hear from you soon. The video I am putting together for the Solstice Green website should be done in a few weeks. If I missed you and you want to be in the next one just flag me down.
And if you want to differentiate your business and really stand out, you should consider a video for your site as well. Many of the companies at the mixer tonight could benefit from a tutorial or product demonstration series on their website (you DO have a dynamic, eye catching, and reliable website....DON'T YOU?)
Hope to hear from you soon. 661-513-3828
This just came across my twitter feed and I thought it was worthy of sharing. IBM is turning 100 years old. In celebration they created a video which I found quite touching. This is a perfect example of using new media to not only promote your business but to also emotionally connect your customer base. Take a few minutes and watch this video, you will not be disappointed.

Today I got an interesting phone call. The caller seemed of Indian or Pakistani descent based on the accent. He identified himself as working for the "Windows Service Center" and started the conversation by saying he was calling to help me since my computer appeared to be full of viruses. Now, because I am a tech saavy person (not to mention somewhat paranoid) I immediately realized this was a scam. But, in the interest of research, and fun at a scumbag's expense, I played along.
He told me to go to my computer.
